Tribes & Temples

Our day started with a 4-5hour bus ride from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai, through mountains. Will I ever tire of the green scenery or rice paddys?
We donned our sunnies & stopped out the White Temple, it's only 20 years old & not yet complete but a real marvel to look at

This afternoon we visited what you'll call an interpretive centre for the hill tribes. There is a small community from around 5 tribes live in this area, they stay a year or two before heading back to the jungle to there tribe. They play music, sing, dance, smile for you to take photos & you can buy market items direct from them. A good hour really.

Finally a bit of down time & all I want to do is sleep, so tired but were off for a family dinner tonight followed by a party where the guys are girls & girls are guys. I brought a singlet & hat to go with my shorts.
